Prior to her directorship, current director Catherine Godony worked professionally for 25 years in legal administration in human rights and social justice.  She has since turned her hand to other passions she had shared with her brother, in music, the arts and leisure in assisting the marginalised community. Catherine’s legal career had also built upon her profession in librarianship, and her strong background in writing, in particular creative/web writing and report writing.

For their legacies, and the roles they have played in her upbringing, Catherine acknowledges her great great aunt, librarian Eunice Boulter; her great aunt Florence Murray, who first taught her the dignity in work; her aunt and stenographer, Elsie Anderson; her grandparents, Annie and William Anderson; her mother, Margaret Godony, and her brother, Haydn.
